That's really good to know especially since mine's still pristine and I can watch out for it :top: I wouldn't worry about the springs, sounds like there's more important things on the go anyway

I wouldn't say more important, I wasn't to get them installed more than I want to watch two hours of eight year olds struggling to play baseball. It's frustrating because there's only four good kids on his house league team, the rest are horrible. So you watch the good kids make a great catch and throw the ball to second and the kid standing there just watches the ball sail past. My son hates house league, but in order to play on the all star team, you have to play house league. Sucks huge.
Anyways I'll check out my helmet after work tonight and maybe take a couple pics so you'll know what your dealing with

Here's the pics of the damage. Not as bad as I'd feared, but still bad enough from only falling six inches or so. At least its not too noticeable.

That does suck  Thanks for the head's up - I'm going to watch mine carefully. I think my previous helmet would have faired better with the regular coating then the new one. Mind you, it was clear the other one would tend to chip. They really should just 'rubberize' the helmets with a thin layer. Then they would not scratch and could bounce
