Hello everyone , noob here :)

Recently blew up my engine whilst doing about 65mph (don't know how I managed to stay on )

It's a 2010 fi model, my guess is valve clearances were not checked and this led to the catastrophic failure. There is now a rather large hole in the engine.

Looking online at eBay etc, the odd fi engine comes up but they're sat at around £400?! For a JC 39 model (like mine).

My question is, will a carb engine fit the bike without any electrical modifications? Or will I need a new 'computer' along with it.

Also will the newer cbr engines fit the old frame ?

Thanks all, I do appreciate this forum and aim to keep myself active on it as a new cbr owner :)
