Post subject:  my mew 2008 cbr125 with 10 k km 57k beware picture heavy
so here is my new to me 2008 cbr i picked it up for cheap off of a friend the had rear ended a car with at low speed so the frame was ok but not the fork tubes and plastics

so i straightened the forks temporarily until i can source a set and started to repair the plastics

Man, I can't believe how bent those forks were!

I also repaired my fairings a few times. The plastic bosses for the screws broke a bit. I did much the same, I re-enforced them with fiberglass and West epoxy. Eventually, the two top fairings (left and right) got to the point where it was better to replace them. This wasn't from accident - it was from the bike being taken apart so often (wear and tear).

Good work on the bike - not sure if I'd trust those forks but like you said, it's temporary :top:

I dropped the triple trees down about 12mm and rotated the tubes opposingly 90 degrees so that the bend is in the clamp so the weakest part is supported
