I've just been tinkering for the first time with my bike, mostly to see how to get to the air filter, and have found a part loose inside the fairing that I can't find the right location for... any clues are more than welcome

Can you be more specific on where you found it? Also, what year bike? |

It's a 2015, and was inside fairing under the headset/ fork mount, where it scoops forward, behind the front wheel. |

Ya got me What's really annoying is that it looks familiar but on my bike ('08) I've yet to run into a part that looks like that. If you figure it out, do let me know! |

Got it! It goes where the bolt fixes the petrol tank to the chassis. That's a relief! |

So was it not installed from the factory? Or was it a spare? |

I must have dislodged it when I was tinkering under the tank!
