well before I swapped to upgraded springs sometimes my gear wouldn't go to the next gear it sometimes jump down a gear so it would end up at 12000revs does this mean the bike deresticted because I can even still rev past 11000rpm if I wanted to as a test but I changed straight after as I didn't want to cause damage

Rev limiters don't work on deceleration - only acceleration. They work by either cutting off fuel or the ignition (spark).

When you are decelerating it's all gearing, so in theory, if you were doing 100 mph and you put it in first the engine would hit extremely high RPM as it tries to slow down. In reality, the clutch would slip...unless you had our Carbon Fiber Clutch Kit installed :ohmy: :laugh: in which case your rear tire would slip :top:
