Metzeler Interac M5's in a 110/70/ZR17

do you know if they fit fine and handle on a rw7 uptodate version of cbr 125 and does handling be same and not get chicken strips

as I heard the wider you go you going to get chicken strips but a forum I use someone as used 110/80 17 and said they got chicken strips and you lose abit of speed

Chicken strips are just for showing off to friends - they don't have any real effect on anything. Truth be told, with the M5's you'll never lean it enough to get close to the strips, at least, I can't see it. I've never gotten close because the bike doesn't really have to be that 'hard over' on a corner - at any speed. The M5's stick like glue. Traction will never be a problem with them

I've run somewhere around 6 sets of M5's and am now testing out the M7's. The M5's are a very firm tire. They stick like glue and will never let you down. The new M7's are softer and I have yet to really put them through their paces. I've also not yet run in the rain to see how they do (as compared to the M5's).

I'm running 110/70/17's front & rear with the bike lowered to adjust the trail dimension. I also shortened the wheelbase a bit when I change over to the M7's. So far, the handling is very neutral. But, like I said, I need more time on the M7's in varying conditions to really determine what's what. On the other hand, the M5's are a proven performer in all weather, at all speeds, and on crazy corners. Can't go wrong there at all other then they are stiff :top:

are they for long term or just ragging

as I ordered mt75 to last as I don't really do ragging around just normal rides

The most I got out of the M5's was 10,000 kilometers but they were well into the illegal range and getting pretty greasy. What I saw for the most part was that 7,500 was the more normal replacement point for them. I rode them at the wear bars in a long ride in a pissing rain storm (soaked to the bone) at high speed (120 KPH) on a twisting road behind and around semi trucks (massive water spray coming off 18 tires) and even at the wear bars, they never let me down. Great tires are a huge godsend in a situation like that - lifesaving stuff :top:

Yeah, the 110's are a bit big for the rim but it's do-able. On the rear it's acceptable, on the front it's definitely over-sized. Having said that, I've been running them for years at all speeds etc and let's be real, the tires are of such high quality they are well beyond the bike's ability to break them loose. On the flip side, that's a nice place to be :top:

Don't know of any issues with pictures but some of the 'hot dog' videos are temporarily off-line. They will be back but it will be some time. Other then those videos, you should be able to see pictures etc. Can you post post up a link to something (pictures etc) you're not seeing?
